An interesting flume

Just ran across this flume. It might be a fun build, especially as a water feature… not sure how long that would last though. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Wow that is an engineering marvel and to think that a team of 12 could build 250’ of it in a day while dangling hundreds of feet in the air. They were a different breed back in the day.

For sure! They were.

The site is a fun one, it’s tough to stop browsing it…

Interesting read for such a unique structure. Not knowing the area the first map lost me on where the flume was located in relation to water source and water need area. :sunglasses:

Yea, I clicked… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Cheers

Well they screwed that up ! They should have kept it up and maintained it instead of scavenging the wood to build homes during the uranium mining boom. Had they done such Amtrak could be using that right away to this day running the “Buttpucker Crescent” !
