An e-mail from Richard Smith......imagine my surprise!

Hello,

This proposal might come to you as a surprise but
believe me that it is transparent business.

My name is Mr Richard Smith, and I work in the delievery department in a
security company here in
London. I feel quite safe dealing with you in this important Business.I was on
a routine inspection when I dscovered a deposit account with a BAL. Of (THIRTY
SIX MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE THOUSAND POUNDS STERLINGS).I later
learnt on further discreet investigation that the depositor of the funds has
passed away (dead) leaving no beneficiary to the deposit.

He’s been keeping it all in a surprisingly large vault beneath that train shed of his

Aw, he didn’t send me anything. :frowning:

He CAN’T be Richard Smith.

I KNOW the REAL Richard Smith, and he sure as hell don’t live in London, nor call hisself ‘Mr’.

Anyhow, I can tell from the accent your correspondent is using in his writing that he is actually Ghanaian. [Bleeve me, I’m good with accents. :)]

…and ‘STERLINGS’? Sterlings are 9mm sub-machine guns used by the British and certain Commonwealth nations between about 1965 and 1990.

Sheesh Terry, you got the guy pegged! :stuck_out_tongue:  Looks like I’m missing the fun by relegating those “confidential” messages to the SPAM without reading.

Well if you want to elicit someone’s trust you must use a most trustworthy name…

What if he’d signed it “Ol’ Curmudgeon”??? hehehe!

Now…about that money…!!

Hey, now THERE’S a name you can TRUST!

The lights are turned off periodically to save electricity. Sorry Terry but Ig doesn’t want you to know how it’s done. I’ll have to show him in secret next time he brings you here. :o

I dunno, Terry. 36 million pounds of those could arm a sizable merchant navy (assuming some of that weight is ammo. Simply throwing guns at people isn't terribly effective). Maybe TOC's not being entirely forthcoming about the activities on his sub. Could the "C" in TOC stand for "Commodore?" ;)

Later,

K

£36 million ? For a Merchant Navy, is that an Aster special editon then ?

Commandant!
Comrade.

TOC,

Because of you I’m infamous! Not that I wasn’t before…

I did a search on Google and guess what came up under my name? Your post here on LSC. At least now if anyone wants to send me earnest money to share in that $36,000,000 they’ll be able to contact me. hehe!
You’d better hurry if you want in on it before the flood of offers come in.
