This afternoon the Big Brown Truck delivered 4 AMS Boxcars to the WV&K NG. Anything I need to know about tuning up them up?
Yeah - Take of those crappy couplers and send them to me

Thanks for the offer Brian. I’m not in an immediate need. I still have quite a few left from a swap I did with JB a few months back. I won’t be at the fall show. Once a year is enough

As long as it comes when my wife is still asleep!
I have a number of them, single and double door, as well as the stock cars.
On some of the trucks, there is insufficient clearance between one axle and the coupler tang, some of them have rubbed. I dremel out a bit more clearance, but I will eventually cut the tang off completely, since I am all body mount Kadees.

Greg, are yours the 1:20 cars (AMS) or the 1:29 cars (AML)?
I’ve got two of the AMS flat cars, and the trucks are a bit stiff rolling, but that’s about the only issue I’ve had. I believe they ride on the same trucks as the box cars, so I’d bet your results would be something similar. Some folks install ball bearings into the journals; I don’t know that it’s worth the trouble. You need some level of rolling resistance so the couplers couple. Otherwise you’re continually pushing the car down the siding trying to connect to it. If your trains are short (6 - 8 cars) then replacing the bearings is–in my opinion–something of a wasted effort. I just keep 'em oiled.
