If metal was more affordable then I wouldn’t even consider plastic track though. Doesn’t look or sound right at all IMHO, however for the price and the fact that I get so much of the plastic stuff as a by product, i’ll use it where I can. When I got into the hobby I think I was paying $2.50ish a foot, Within 1 year that skyrocketed. It became a choice to buy track or rolling stock. Track looks good but “stuff” does need to be rolling on it for the track to look good, lol
