 Have we been invaded, Bob?? Not sure what this post has to do with trains.

It’s a sobriety test, Warren. Try reading it aloud - FAST!

Next thing will be daughters of rich Nigerian doctors pleading for help to transfer their father’s wealth out of the country. For a country with around 97% of the population in poverty, how could a doctor accumulate millions of dollars? If he was so rich then he would be part of the ruling party in power and money transfer would not be a problem. I am sure the majority of the wealthy Nigerians would have Swiss bank accounts. Then again a daughter would not lie, so next time I will help her out and receive the promised 20% of the $25m. This would give me $5m to spend on trains, or maybe buy a defunct toy train company.

Thats where all the customer service people work now !

Sheesh guys, don’t be so snarky.

Expand your horizons, travel to India. They have all kinds of interesting railways. Some of them are a unique experience, just the other day an electric train got stranded on an isolated section. No problem, all the passengers got off, put their collective shoulders to the wheel - so to speak - and pushed the train ahead to the start of the powered section. The distance they needed to push varied with the source that reported, something to do with converting Metric to Imperial or some such. In any case, reminded me of having to nudge trains on poorly cleaned track. And the other thing that occurred to me: I bet you they didn’t say “No sweat” when they were back on the train!   Special note to Tim: On the 5 million, do you know how to do due diligence?

Looks like a nice place to me.

HJ,
Ever seen the video by National Geographic–“Trains of India”
Very, very interesting.
Among other things:
The largest employer in the world.
The longest railway system in the world (length of track).

I hadn't thought about looking. I don't usually open unknown internet sites. Doubly so for those linked by spam.

Just my cautious ways.

Happy RRing,

Jerry

Jerry,
100% agreeance on that subject. Also very dubious of opening links to members’ websites due the volume of tracking cookies downloaded by the web-hosting sites.

I googled the place name

I see Bob is getting more experience at being the resident “Bad Guy”… Yeah, those delete buttons really work…

The wonderful world of the web.

No. Just a poor school teacher’s wife…:frowning:

Now, why does a fictional person sending out spam get more reads and replies than us guys working hard on are railroads and posting pics?!? Me thinks something is rotten in the state of Denmark!

And your post above has taken tastelessness to the extreme.! :frowning:

Spam was a great staple for my Boy Scout Troop. I used to try to gross out my scouts by eating a "spamsicle," a chunk of spam on a popsicle stick. I think the only one to get grossed out was me.
