Looks good, but no habla…

Crap. Now I have to put an all glass cupola on one of mine… :stuck_out_tongue:

Turns out that I needed to go to settings and select English for playback (vs. finding a different video).

Very cool, thanks Joe!

Very interesting, thanks for posting.

Cabeese, as in more than one Caboose…!!

Van, as in the British, Guard’s Van (British) Vans (Plural)…Cabooses were often called Vans in parts of Canada.

The video was rather poorly done, with poor representations of parts of the equipment.
There were sparks and smoke shown coming from all the wrong locations of possible problems.
The whole production seems to be produced by people with great imaginations, but little or no experience actually riding in a caboose, or actually working as a career on a railroad in North America.
There are people still alive and some even frequent this web page, who could have been called on to contribute to producing a much better video of Cabooses…

I noticed AI shots as well, but was waiting for someone else to point it out.
Thanks, Fred.

I hesitated to say it, But…
In my opinion, it was a very poor use of this latest fad called AI.
In fact the video was a piece of crap, and if this is used as an example of future use of this “Artificial LACK of Intelligence”, the future generations are doomed to stupidity, and lack of real knowledge.
There…I did say it…and I’m sure the masses will stomp all over me…

Consider yourself whipped with a wet noodle.

I don’t think you will get any push back. A lot of what people are creating with AI is crap. A lot of that crap is presented as reality and a lot what is posted on social media is sensationalism and pure BS, created for clicks.

I don’t mind the high quality AI science fiction.
It’s the dogs, cats, wild animals that people “rescue” that bugs me. And people believe it as real
in the comments!

It’s still an informative video, regardless of how they came up with their imagery (on a less-than-shoe-string budget, I suspect). So, thanks Joe.

I’m all for debating the dark side of AI, and its benefits (there are some), but perhaps we should have a stand-alone thread for that?
