Alien egg pod?

I discovered something really bizarre on my layout today: Two large, bright yellow, sort of triangular shaped egg sacks hanging from yellow spider webs! What the heck kind of spider produces a thing like that??

So far, I haven’t found anything like them at the suggested sites, nor by googling. I did find a spider forum and posted the description there. I also saw enough ghastly spider photos to give me nightmares for a week.

Oh, and that wiki link includes a pic of huge fried spiders that people eat in Cambodia. I’ll pass, thanks.
