Is there a difference?
Do I have to upload to my freight shed before I publish in an album?
I haven’t tried to do this, so I thought I’d ask first before I got frustrated and thought unkindly of the software… yeah, that’s it.

There is a difference. They point to two separate file areas. The old software didn’t have the idea of individual user photo albums, so I made a quick and dirty hosting script, and called them “Freight Sheds”.
The new software has these neato albums. They’re easier to use. You can use either, or both. I suspect most users will eventually make their way to albums, an I’ll have different levels of “how much space” the way I have a paid Freight Shed now.

Ummm OK… I think I understand.
hmmm, I think I understand, but I think what I really need, is a program that I can use to make my pictures 800X800 to fit the format

If you’re running Windows 7, you can right click on an image an select “resize pictures”. One of th formats is 854 wide.
Bob, but, don’t I have to remove them from LSC, then resize, then load them back into LSC??
@Andy - Yes.
@Steve - Getting photos into an album, and managing them once there, is very user friendly. Give it a try. Posting a picture from an album is (for now) a bit cumbersome. There is a Share button, but I assume that just posts the photo and your comments on the activity section of the home page. What will be needed is a button to give you a pop-up with the postable URL of the picture. For now, in Firefox, you can right click on an album photo, choose View Image then copy the URL from your browser.
This picture was copied from my Album using the right click method… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/public/album_photo/ba/9f/01/19d1c_72a4.jpg)?c=fed8
Seems there is a bit of extra crud after the .jpg that shows as text when done this way.
Also, for now, the pictures are quite a bit smaller than the 800 pixel pictures we can post from other sources. The Album does handle the sizing for you though.
800x800???
What happened to 640x480?
Please don’t tell me they made another change, I just adjusted to Ethyl not being a grade of gasolene and Gay isn’t happy.
As monitors and available bandwidth grow, so do the pictures. You can still post 640x480 if you like and they will look fine. I’ve been posting at 800xwhatever for a couple of years.
And what’s this about Ethyl being happy?
A couple of years and you didn’t give me the updated s.o.p.? My world is crumbling.

So I can post phtos in ALbums even though I am at 129% of my freightshed? [I actually deleted a bunch to space to get back below 100% - and now it seems I can use more!!]

…
I think i got this right like Steve. I hope
Album is a place to store photos for all to see.
Frt. shed is a place to use for posting and quick up load off of hard dr. to use. Also, in frt. shed i try to make folders for stuff i want to keep separate like for my logos, and storage for photo i like to keep or may need in later dates posting.
Hope I got that right.
I have pictures in my album, I left click on them to open that picture to a larger view, right click on it then, highlight the properties, and copy.(and having two LSC open)
Go to the other LSC which is the forum I am posting in and past the picture in the post reply box and type in the text. Sounds complicated, but really is quick and simple.
