I hope you are not trying to tell us Obama has no security clearance yet?
I would have thought that those who screen the candidates would have already done so, long before the candidates were even nominated.
If they were not screening them by then, they were derelict in their duty.
It is not as if Obama was totally unknown before the primaries.

If the GOP had any sense they would persuade her to withdraw from the ticket. Really the only chance McCain has now.
It now turns out the State of Alaska has been paying her childrens travel travel expenses. I really don’t have a problem with that. I think they should pay for her family to travel with her when she is on state business. However, Alaskan law says otherwise. After Palin was nominated she went back and edited the expense reports to make it appear the children were doing official state business. Such as official starters for her husband’s snow mobile race. They weren’t. Numerous incidents of this type.
Worked the system to her benefit and now lies about it. Says she didn’t spend $150,000. Of course she can’t be a liar. She is a Christian.

McCain was not born in the USA. And how are you privy to whether Obama has any security clearance or not?

This is completely ridiculous. Obama is a US Senator, duly elected by the eople of Illinois, and he has been briefed by the CIA with exactly the same briefing McCain got. After both parties nominate their candidates the CIA briefs them with what the President gets. Do you really think the CIA or Homeland security could simply decide not to, because it didn’t like the democratically chosen nomiee of the major parties? What do you think this is, the Soviet Union?

Obama has exactly the same security clearance as McCain.

Also think about it–The CIA, the Dept. of Homeland Security, they work for the President, who is the Commander in Chief. If Obama is President, they the CIA doesn’t get to decide what security clearance he gets.

Population of Alaska - 683,478 Alaskan budget - $2.9 billion

Population of Montgomery Co., Md - 930,813 budget - $4.1 billion

That means my county executive presides over a population 35% larger with a budget that’s 41% bigger. I guess that makes him at least a third more qualified than Palin.

McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone when the US of A owned it… & I did not say that Obama did not have a security clearance, I said that if he tried to get 1 as person he would be inligible because of his friends, if you could call them friends…

Bob, if the situation of Obamas associations were as dire as you seem to think, how come he got a security clearance at all?

Do you really think the evil Socialists in his camp have so much power that they can sway the opinion of those that decide who gets security clearance and who does not get security clearance?

At the risk of offence, I seriously wonder how anyone could consider this woman as ready for the highest office in the land. Every right-leaning friend I had was screaming at the top of their lungs how poorly experienced Mr. Obama was, and now many of those same are screaming how Mrs. Palin is the 2nd coming of Lincoln! This woman is near the end of the line in the “ready for Pres.” department, I am stunned Mr. McCain picked her, this one decision cost him my vote (big deal). A big decision given his age and past health issues, he blew it in my mind, and the minds of many others. Mrs. Palin is a fine woman, but she is not fit for the office.

The biggest pity here is the Republican party “killed” a very talented up and coming political persona. They pulled her out of the oven before she was done, they should have left her bake for a few more years and see if indead she was “Capitol” material. She is not ready, and now she may never be.
