Alask RR 0-4-0ST Narrow guage then Standard!

http://www.panamarailroad.org/arr-1.html

A link to the Panama Railroad’s site which has an article on a narrow gauge 0-4-0st that was used during the construction of the Panama Canal. After the Canal, it was shipped to alaska for use up there. Some time along the way, the unit was converted from narrow to standard gauge.

It was restored a few years ago. Its a nice looking little tank. Just thought someone might like to take a look.

I was watching a dvd with my kids, and it featured the Morris County line (NJ). So I jumped on google and did some surfing. Found an article on teh 385 being donated to the new museum group. That included a little 0-4-0F as well. Its a neat little fireless cooker with teh cab number of 7240. Was trying to gain a little info on the 7240 when I found the article on the Alaska 0-4-0ST. Got to love the inter-linking of the web, lol!

Edit: Here is a link to teh article w/pics of the the Morris County move including the little 0-4-0F: http://cs.trains.com/trn/f/740/t/118502.aspx
