Large Scale Central

Ain't that weird ? Brother Dave

Well if this town don’t beat all as far as weird things, wait till I get a picture of a new building and it has nothing with the Casino’s on the strip. Their interesting too. Oh back to the topic, we have a Navy Federal Credit Union here in this desert and no Navy base of any sort for a zillion miles from here ! Maybe there is a secret sub base out in Lake Mead ! Ya right…

Train related ? Sure enough as we now have an account there and from that account I buy model train stuff. Close enough ?

Your story is welcome too…

Cheers, TOF in Lost Wages

They must be there for the ghost ships that sail the desert! Maybe trains too?

Maybe there are some Navy personel at Area 51
Who knows what goes on at the lake there
Ralph

On top of that there is a Coast Guard Loran station about half way between Vegas and Laughlin. Go figure!!

Strange too have you noticed that the majority of career Navy personnel always seem to come from landlocked states like Kansas, etc.?

The Navy Federal Credit Union in Lost Wages exists for the sole benefit of sailors on leave along the strip. Mystery solved.

Sheesh, that was easy! :stuck_out_tongue:

The Navy’s “Top Gun” fighter school does much of its training at Nellis Air Force base north of Vegas.

My Dad is from Missouri, he sure fits that.

Interesting that the AV crew at Church here in Illinois usually pick seascapes for backgrounds.

When I retired from the Navy, I put an oar over my shoulder and walked inland, until someone said, “Hey Mister, what’s that thing you have on your shoulder?” Then I knew that I was home.

Sailors take a warning from these men of high renown,
When you leave the ocean and it’s time to settle down,
Never cast your anchor less than ninety miles from shore,
There’d always be temptation to be off to sea once more.

Thar be truth in that, lads."
