AFter Memorial Day running

Since I had to work Memorial weekend I had my chance to run today. I have not done too many changes other then getting the Bachmann 20ft boxcar weathered and the AV decals on. I also got all my switch stands up.

Mr. Russell no longer has to use the jack ass for water. He got a windmill. Getting lazy everyday.

Camp got a new shed in the back

oops fingers got in the way

The AV now does some limited freight to the KMRR delivering steam tractor parts (left is HLW box and right is bach 20ft)

…winking…

Quite loverly Shawn! I’ve done no running since early Monday… The townspeople are tired of treading water… got a bit over 7 scale feet of it in the last 2 days. Yes, I know LGB trains are supposed to be rainproof, but I don’t think the Crest 5400 power packs are.

We got lucky on one thing though, the golf ball sized hail, 60mph winds and funnel cloud earlier were all south of us, and so is the worst of the current storm… (knocking my wooden head)

Shawn you have certainly captured it , great photographs of a really fine outdoor railroad . this one is a 10

Shawn heard the train whistle , and quickly pulled to the edge of the road and jumped out with his camera , and captured the passing trains photo , just in the nick of time And who hasn’t done this ? Sometimes to late to get the locomotive , I know I have .

Shawn,

You have a gorgeous railroad! Besides some fine model work and weathering the railroad has real character. Nice job all around including the photos.

Very nice.
I hope I can run trains this week end. It’s been raining a lot.

Shawn, got to give two thumbs up. The pics really show the flavor of your pike. You’ve come a long way in a short time. Really nice.

Thanks guys. Since I started my RR I have been having a blast and met great people.
Its amazing how I can spend hours out their with trains running and working on the RR. It is a fun hobby.

Always nice to see pix of your layout. Looks like you have that one small sedum that is so invasive? So do I…sigh…

Shawn, great shots of your railroad…

I really like how you’ve executed your theme Shawn…everything looks as if it belongs …lovely

there’s a couple people this thread is getting sent to.

I had a chance to run some trains late today. I took out the porter and my 2 axel aristo flats and HLW caboose. Perfect day temps upper 60’s and sun.
