Adding phoenix sound to 3 truck shay, have a few questions

As the title says I’m adding phoenix sound PB11 to a B-mann 3 truck shay non DCC. The trouble I am having is finding the chuff wires. I found the two loose blue wires in the harness but when tested they are always a closed loop (or the same wire) Anyone have any luck with doing this install?

And please don’t turn this into a “bachmann sucks thread” we’ve already beat that horse.

Never mind, lol. I tore the cylinders apart and found a contact stuck together…

Problem solved. And if anyone else was wondering the two loose blue wires are the chuff contacts.

Yeah, the mechanical contacts are a maintenance item on that shay.
