Last Sunday, running LS and REALLY LS trains over at the site, my Accucraft Countess was derailed after one of the MoW crew left a piece of cable on the track while he worked on a spur switch - out of sight of the train operator - moi. The loco fell over three feet onto a tread of a set of folding steps, and then onto a heavy rubber mat. The damage was pretty light, considering. The rear coupler was squished and the rain-strip angle trim was torn off the corner of the roof for about an inch, but the other corner was distorted and the pointy bit flattened from impact with the step.
On Monday I emole Accucraft UK, to see it they could help me out, and Graham Langer quickly called me back, asking for a paltry amount of £££.
It arrove here at the tac-hut yesterday morning.
