About a year ago Cliff at Accuraft said that the K-36 electric version will never be made again, I also have a feeling the other “K” classes are in the same boat. Something I have noticed is the selling price of this model going up over the past year, $4000 to $5000 on ebay is common now for a bone stock model. A local shop sold one for Just over $5000 not long ago. Just seems like each time I see one the price goes higher and higher and I was wondering what you think is driving this price increase. Limited numbers? one time run? popular locomotive? all of the above?
Somewhat hard to find, haven’t been made in a while, and a popular model worldwide. These factors would drive up the price.
Well, here in yUK I have an electric Accucraft K27 with radio and sound that you can have for $4000.00.
Never seen an electric K36 tho’.
