Yes!

It’s actually pronounced Dew Moss forgot the umlauts.

My fault !

Shawn, I know very little about live steam, so this may be a odd question, Why does at different spots on your and other videos does the loco appear to stall or come close to stopping then take off again? I enjoy watching your videos, the scenery is second to none and the trains are first rate. Thanks, Pete

I would have to say hills. Even though it is geared he has not broke it in yet.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Ron, if the thing hasn’t heated up all the way yet, it gets condensate (water) in the cylinders. So the thing will slow down a bit, sputter, and spit the condensate out the stack. Then its starts running like normal again. Maybe that is what you are seeing.

I agree with you David , I was commenting on what Pete was saying. I thought it ran just fine to me.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif) I did not see much stalling.

Very nice. I like the looks of Dora. Now I have read that run time is about 8 minutes. Do you find that to be true with your’s ?

Pete Thanks that’s from the grades. Most will slow down on a grade and then speed up on a downgrade. Engines with low gearing will stay same speed. The Dora is geared but like the Lumberjack where the gearing is a high so you will notice the change in speeds but not nearly as much as a rod engine.

Time will vary on how high you run the gas and outside temperatures. I also put a smaller jet in it. That helps tame the flame. Eventually ill add a better gas valve so it wont be so touchy. That will help with run time as well. Once broken in, you should get about 15 or more minutes on one gas tank. That’s perfect for a steamer this size. Te Dora is a perfect go to steamer. Its easy to use and good for when your busy doing other things. You don,t have to worry about it running out of water first Its a great kitbash engine if you wanted.

Neat video Shawn. From what I’ve seen you need to build a roundhouse for your stable. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
