Accucraft Big Boy - at Ridge Road soon (?)

The data I got was St.Aubin bought the entire Accucraft Big Boy production. Apparently, this information was in error.

Ridge Road’s website announces “arriving soon.” 1:32 scale and a “fine scale loco constructed of brass and diecast metal parts.” $2599.99 no sound.

Interesting to me is this loco costs less than an Accucraft GS4.

I am looking at their site now.
The Cab Forward is $6500, the USA Big Boy is $3400.
Accu has a custom brass Cab Forward for $7100.

The one they DO list is AMS, for $2,599.99

Right off the St. Aubins website:

"St. Aubin has Commissioned the Exclusive Construction of an All Metal G scale Big Boy

This locomotive will be 1:32 scale, constructed from a stainless steel frame and a body of brass and other metals."

Theirs is listed for “Preorder price is set at $2,699.89”.

So, what do you think?
Is this the same engine?
Does St. Aubins let some go to RidgeRoad?

Price points are close.

Both scheduled for delivery by now.

To all:

Not since an episode of Flash Gordon have I been equally mystified.

How aptly TOC has sumarized the essentials: Possibly the advance orders have not come in. Possibly the advance is NOT enough to produce the product. Ahhhh. Then it makes sense to defer the project to another vendor.

Then, maybe, there is NO need for advance orders. Maybe this product is real, (produced, 'n packaged) as I write.

Anyone in the reading audience savy enough – or in the “know” to remove this conundrum?
