We’re going to be going to our first ECLSTS this year and have been trying to figure out where to stay. Our schedule may mean going in of March 26th and attending the show only for one day, the 27th. That is subject to change, and we may be able to stay over an additional night.
We are open to suggestions and thoughts on the various inns, hotels and motels in the area of the convention.

I stay at the “official” hotel, the Holiday Inn Express. It runs about $90/nite with the discount. It was a nice hotel with a decent free breakfast and about a 10 minute drive to the fairgrounds - http://www.largescaletrainshows.com/article_3.html
Many at my former club mates stay at the Red Roof Inn for about $60/nite but I have heard mixed things about it.

I used to stay at the Holidome, but no more. Both Bruce and I had terrible experiences there last year.
