ABC calls it...its Obama!

ABC calls it…its Obama!!!

Hats off to President-elect Obama. The first African-American to be elected President of the United States of America

It will be a mighty party in Chicago

As of 8:15pm PST, Obama 306, McCain 146

270 to win, rather decisive, no disputes, chad has left the building.

It’s a clear win. I have to admit I never thought Americans would elect a black man President. I did not believe it would happen and I’m delighted to have been wrong. It’s a stunning moment

Rosa sat so Martin could walk.

Martin walked so Barack could run.

The founders of this nation are turning over in their graves, and race has nothing to do with it.

Those founders have - strictly my opinion - been rotating for the last eight years!

Truth be told they started rotating when Jackson was elected. But yes, I agree–Bush was the worst

The US of A has survived monumental stupidity before (including Shrub), and it will again. The American people have just bought themselves a used car off a very slick salesman, I just hope it actually runs.

I’m really more worried about what kind of monkeying with everything the Dems will try to ram through while they have both houses…in the name of “change” of course, or just to somehow “get even” with Shrub. Maybe they’ll act like mature reasonable adults instead of hogs in a trough, or drunken frat boys crashing a wedding reception…or maybe pigs will fly.

I guess we’ll soon find out.

Pollies are human. A stiff opposition helps keep 'em (reasonably) honest. A prez of either party, with control of both houses and a sympathetic court is generally a recipe for disaster…

Yes, the neocons stuffed things up – badly, but this sudden lurch in the other direction could be just as costly

Now’s the time for the Republicans to do what they’ve been screaming at the Dems to do for the last eight years. “Get behind the President in tough times”. Will they?

No, they won’t

I tried in 2000, by voting for Mr. Alan Keys here in the SC Primary...I'd drop a vote for him again...Any day!

Bingo! My guess is they are for the most part going to do EXACTLY what they have been whinning about the Dem's doing, obstructing the business of the nation. I've heard a number of my co-workers say they will leave the country, I guess they can't stomach a President elected by the public and would prefer a dictatorship...please pack quickly.

For the record, I voted for one Dem, the rest pretty much 'pub’s.

Before those guys leave, please tell them that there are direct flights to Alaska - I’m sure they would want to be as close to Palin as they can get and they could reignite that seccession party - no need to stop off in Canada.

Wait a min, SC was the first to do that the last time…as to leaving the country…what about all the Hollywood “stars” that pledged to leave when W was elected…still here huh, enjoying the Freedom that exist nowhere else in the World?

Cale,

In either case there’s no law against being really full of it, funny part is … I don’t believe the smell differs much either!
