Thats why I chose the location I did for my RR, under a few maples trees. Its nice having that shade in the summer and then feeling the sun in the winter. Thats the one disadvantage to pines Shade year round. Leaves are no doubt easier to blow off then pine needles. But you cant beat the look and smell of pines.
