whymsical.com, the website that continued the A.W.N.U.T.S. theme is to shut down. There hasn’t been much activity on the site lately, and Ferd, the person running the site, no longer can spend the time and effort maintaining the site. As a sometime poster, and long time lurker on the site, I am sad to see it go.
I’m sad to hear that. I usually post all my microlayouts over there but given how little else I’m doing there just isn’t much for me to contribute. Its an issue here as well as other sites. I barely check the GR forum and I really dislike the british sites new layout so I dont spend much time there as well. I hope the guys there migrate over to here.
Vic, if they do, they would really liven up the place…like a 2 year old, livens up a business lunch…not that it would be a bad thing.

That is a super cool website. Some of the models and figures remind me of " Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines " , my favourite film.
At the Scince & Tech Museum there was a traveling display of a British cartoonist featuring life sized models of his cartoon ideas very similar to the Awnuts designs.
Note the small and short wheel base of the locos and cars enabling very small radius indoor layouts.
