I actually have the model of this little building, if only I can recreate the two characters in the picture I will have the exact scene on my railway!

Me too, with a Different paint job, though I don’t think I’d want those two characters hanging around my railroad…
I have one of those models, too!
Jon, we have been looking forward to the new roundhouse for a few years now. I have heard rumors floating around here and there about Strasburg installing turntables at either end of their line. There may be a grain of truth to it, too, considering the two turntables located a the extreme West end of their railroad (behind the Choo Choo Barn complex).
You guys should try and get here for the Strasburg’s Mixed Freight trains they run in the summer months. I’ve ridden it on two occasions, and it is a different experience than the regular passenger train.
Found it on a pic from my old layout!
Thanks Mark -
A friend of mine was down last summer to photograph a steam freight run. He posted lots of pics and videos that I enjoyed looking at. My summer schedule is already filling up so probably not this year, but it’s on my list! I probably have a better chance of getting to the Georgetown Loop this year as a trip to Denver to meet the new grand daughter is inevitable.

I’ve seen those two sitting there, and they’ve been there for a long while. I was wondering what they were for. That makes sense.
Great pictures! thanks for sharing. i have to get back there soon i had such a great time when i was there. The museum is a wonderful place to visit too.
Question, when did they re-letter the 475 for Strasburg? When I was there two years ago it was lettered for Norfolk & Western
Had to have been in the last year since this was taken last May when my niece and her husband were there with me…
