A walk along the tracks . . .

The last couple of years I’ve been by that area and noticed the condition of the track. New balast has recently been added to some areas, and a “balast tamper” has been along, . . but no attempt to straighten the track ! The first time I saw the siding that is in the upper photo it was so very crooked I wondered if it was still in use. Then was by there ( the crossing ) a week or so later and saw a string of tank cars sitting on it !
