A small tribute to Steve

Joe McCummins wanted to put a few pictures of our buddy Steve up. We both are very impressed with how many people had good things to say about Steve. He was a great guy. So thank you Joe for these pictures.

The top pics has another fallen flag as well. On the right is our good friend Russ who we lost a few years ago.

Thanks for posting, Devon.

Steve running his favorite “traveling” train on my very first open house years ago. The RR was brand new.

Ironically, the club member on the left is a fallen flag as well. Mike Devore’s other passion was competition boat racing.

He lost his life in a racing accident a few years ago.

Steve’s favorite traveling train. An old rebuilt Lionel Atlantic. It went everywhere with him when he visited layouts.

yes he did love his Atlantic didn’t he.

Never met him in person only on LSC however I know he loved his Roosters too! Not only the one that messed up his face but the one that messed with his mind as well! I have learned more about the man these past few days than I had in years! Thanks guys for sharing as I’m enjoying it and Steve is smiling upon us right now! Or would he say " SHUT UP ROOSTER"?

My condolences to the family and friends.

“…And the clouds parted, the skies opened, a beam of light fell upon the earth, and Behold! a deep voice came forth out of the heavens with the words, SHUT UP ROOSTER!”

Both Rooster and John are forgetting Steve is a US Navy man, so it would probably have shut the (expletive deleted, a blasphemy, and probably a couple of cuss word) Rooster. Unless a lady was present. I know I was surprised at the change in language my dad used when mom wasn’t around. Rest well, doc Steve.
