Maybe I’m destined to start a lot of modeling projects and not finish them, I dunno. But right or wrong, I’ll keep on cutting and pasting as long as my styrene supply holds out. My latest: a small cabin, which was featured as a beginner’s project in MR, some years ago. It’s pretty small, and is meant to sit on the side of a hill, although ya could put it anywhere. I cut the walls to size before we headed for Maui, then attached the Precision Plastic siding and built up the windows while we’re here. I’ll attach the roof, floor and the under-floor cribbing when we’re back on the mainland. Meanwhile, a shot of the window work. One wall has the window frame installed, the other is unfinished. And of course, there’s that jar of MEK, my favorite adhesive, which now appears to be banned in Hawaii, as the stuff now on sale at Ace Hardware, says “MEK Substitute.” Luckily, I have plenty.
