A Simulated Caboose Gazeebo

Jon, yes… and I keep getting extensions…

Son, The ladder was knocked over by the wind… and, actually, that was about 5:30 pm…

Hollywood, Most of the pictures I’ve been taking have been in the evening, and if I face the RR, then I’m looking pretty much directly into the sun…

Nice man-cave…

No wheels…sad…!!

Andy, I’ve been following your progress and thought a prototype picture might be in order.

Sigh…that’s our dream home you’re lookin’ at there… tac, ig & The Yaquina Head Lighthouse Boys

Just a note… Project is still ongoing, however, it’s been put on hold, due to having to meet a deadline on re-working club modules to get them somewhat ready for a train show…
The beams across the top have been installed, and secured…

Hey Andy did you ever get the roof on your caboose before the snow started flying?

Chuck, no, I didn't.... did manage to get the walls all tied together at the top... Placed the decking on one end, but it's not secured, nor trimmed... I did build the two side walls for the cupola, they are in the basement... had to much stuff going on... I'll get a start again, once the weathers gets a little nicer.... I'm old, and am a fair-weather worker... :)

OK, got a little work done on the caboose today… Cupola side walls are installed, and held with some temporary bracing, while the end walls are being designed… Have to figure out the lower roofline, to be able to determine the biggest size windows for the end walls…

Below, you can see one of the roof rafters along the cupola wall:

Lookin’ good so far. How is that OSB board doing left uncovered out in the weather?
