Large Scale Central

A new challenge?

Ric, you know dang well, if we don’t bother the president, then he will cry, cause he’ll think noone needs him… Besides, I want too how long it’ll take him to go thru 400 Gazillion pictures to find the one we are looking for…

Dr. Al’s lay out has something like that on it. I just checked the pictures I have up on th ewebsite and you can just make out what your talking about in one of his pictures. I don’t think I have the club pictures with me or I would check them.

It’s down next to the packing house and is called the “Playground”. Tunnel side, second module from the end, two modules up from the Bordello.

found this wee beastie at the LHS. It’s a static 1:190 model of a Japanese C11 (2-6-4T) made by Furuta. (They also make a 4-4-0 but they didn’t have one) – not quite sure exactly what scale that works out to, but it LOOKS like it COULD be about G scale

Edited Note: The C11 says 1/190 scale, the rest say 1/290 scale…which is correct? I’d bet the 1/290 (which works out to gauge 3 or something like that actual gauge is something like 4mm). I also picked up the B620 Mogul which I’m going to see if I can remove the elephant ears and feedwater heater to make it look a bit more generic, and maybe make an outdoor railroad mini-scene on my layout…

Where do the batteries go?

I think the speeding cockroach is 1:450. That is pretty close in 1:20.3 and close enough in 1:22.5.
