A bunch of years ago I made cast resin ends for a composite boxcar, based on a car at the Strassburg museum. Bruce Chandler did a wonderful job building his car. I built mine using an acrylic box, scribed wood siding, and epoxied the ends to it. Some styrene sheet, shapes, and wire for the door. I got the basic box done, and then got distracted onto other things.
…much time passes…
A couple of days ago I pulled it out of its project drawer, and decided to finish it. First was a pvc roof, Then the roofwalk supports, and some paint. Finally, decals, wood roofwalk, and trucks/couplers. Voila, another operations-quality boxcar for the fleet.
