No, the Deep Fryer. He's too tough to roast.

Back to the topic -

Tank car is looking good Holywood. I find it interesting that your build makes the tank smaller and mine (even with Bart’s help still unfinished) was made bigger.

it’s all in the eye Jon

Your gettin’ pretty good at bending brass. Looks real nice so far.

Is it done yet???

Thanks for all the great build pix. That’s very admirable work you’re doing here Dave. I’ve been admiring the rivets on that frame, and your brasswork as well. You know what you’re doing! And ignore the diesel guys - they wouldn’t know a real train if it ran them over!   :stuck_out_tongue:

…be nice now, John…they can still be taught, so there could be room for their reserection…

I hope you are building at least a dozen of those cars, Dave.....wouldn't take much longer....!!

     Looking good.....

Yeah, we wouldn’t want any of the diesel team to get steamed up about my comments! As far as I’m concerned, Rooster redeemed himself last year with that awesome build he did of “Utility”. I don’t know if he realizes it, but that wasn’t actually a diesel… :stuck_out_tongue:

And in continuation of my build.I needed 3 step strap steps on each corner.

First up was a jig.

then the pieces. And these were bent outside of the jig

Note 2 styles of step

Soldered together.

These also need bracing on the outsides

Then to insure all areas got paint I had to prepaint the two halve.

Added the corner steps, these were glued and pinned in place

Side ladders, trucks and couplers were added.

yes the chain needs to becut short, I noticed it in the pic.

And from the top

Now ready for paint and decals

When you get it decaled and painted, take it outside for a photo
BTW- did you get a tube in the mail from CA. ?
