I’ve had a pair of nail clippers in my tackle box forever. Its great for cliping line from hook instead of knife. I started using them on brass wire too. I’ve cut up to 16 guage copper and brass with an old pair of nail clippers then turned around and used them on my nails. They are great for making eye hole bolts because the round cut meshes well with the opposite side of the bolt.
