Large Scale Central

A heads up for the near future

Those that come to York later this year and for the ECLSTS next year will have another train destination to consider.

This is just south of York and about 25 minutes from the show

And this is what is being built for them

That’s amazing that he has built 3 NEW steam locomotives. Hit the project button on top and you can see all 3.

wicked awesume…

WOW!

That’s cool. They don’t give a location other that York on the website (that i noticed) - Do you know where the site is going to be?

Edit to withdraw the question. I found it hiding at the bottom of the page. New Freedom, PA.

I think it’s wonderful, but, do we really need more places to go during the York weekend???

I still have a list as long as my arm of places to see.

Since I missed ECLSTS last year, and will miss it this year…the list isn’t getting any shorter

Is this our problem? Set priorities man, suck it up.

An update on things.

The ‘York’ was trucked in and put on the rails today. I stopped by on my way back from Baltimore to see this beauty sitting on the rails and the steam whistle being unwrapped. They still had a few pieces to put in place and the tender needed to be connected.

The line will run from New Freedom, which is just southwest of Shrewsbury off I83 exit 4, and end at Hanover Junction which is 10 miles north.

For those of you who will be in the area this weekend to see NS 765, this may be a worthwhile side trip. I don’t know if she’ll be under steam, but I did note that both passenger cars are on site.

This is slated to start runs by July 1, this year

Awesome. Only in America!
