Im sure some of you have see this one before but if not I figured I post it. Im not a big fan of European trains but this layout is just awsome. Some of the best winter, night and mountain scenes. I really like those red engines. Wish I could read the language.

Hi Shawn,
Yep Andi’s layout is quite something.
I especially like the prototype, even if his interpretation is “a bit too modern”. I model the same proto but back in the 1969-75 era when most of it was still in the green livery.

BTW Andi’s hotel guests even get to run the railway, if so inclined i.e. his is a hotel with more than just the usual Swiss hospitality.
BTW Shawn, if you’re interested/intrigued by that prototype with all those red engines, many moons ago (2003) I started an English language forum with that proto and a few of the Swiss connecting railways as the governing theme. Lots of proto and modeling info; it doesn’t hurt at all that some of the participants work for the prototype and have ready access to all the minutiae. As they say in the real estate business, this is not a solicitation of any kind! Which reminds me, I guess the previous owner of our house wasn’t all that happy with the traffic in the neighbourhood - it’s almost non-existent.

But it makes for a good laugh when the door bell rings and we get to tease someone.
HJ-thanks for the site. Im not a big fan of the european/moderen trains but if I were ever to get one I would get the red one. What is called anyway and who makes it? I think I could make it work on my layout especially in the winter.
