Here is my caboose drag racer in action. It was a long forgotten project that was breathed new life when a friend brought over a LGB flyer. Replacing the rubber band drive belts with O rings made all the difference.
Watch it burn up the track.

Looks like lots of fun! I wish I had the space to let my racer stretch its legs.
Loved the music!!
Todd you should of known that they are watching you…you live not to far, for fly over video surveillance!!
Loved the video!
Blooper real coool!
Was that a camera that took a header!
Wow! You need a governor in it if you want to keep the spooks away from it! After the company got done with this little monster the W&Q put a conservative motor on it AND a governor so they could use it for revenue passenger runs.
Great video Eric, how long of a run do you get out of it?
She goes past 12 mile posts…
…My mile posts are every ten feet
Crazy Rocket Racing trains… That was up at Ridge Road Station wasn’t it? They needed a net to catch the trains at the end. What was seen in the blooper reel was the racer flying off the track which it did multiple times, luckily without much damage.
Mine isn’t as fast as those rockets but still too fast for it’s own good since it won’t stay on the track in the curves. On the gear box is a switch to make it fast and faster but it needs slow and slower if it was going to be used for revenue runs.
It would be really neat if I could figure out a way to attach little wheels to the frame much like a roller coaster has but negotiating switches is a stumbling block.
That is a neat little clockwork rail bus Eric.
