A different marketing approach

Juergen ,
Expect to receive a rocket over mis-spelling “Python” . Getting English lessons from this source is par for the course .

Quite frankly, I have never enjoyed British humor…outside of Benny Hill. But appropriately I do find these threads to be quite entertaining…and comical…and the linguistic “twists” abound. So, even though I have never before heard of the British “Carry On” series, I still hold to what I said: Wheeeeeeeeeee! Another pillow fight!

Warren

" I still hold to what I said "
You didn’t say “willy” by any chance ?
That is an example of "Carry On " humour . Very similar to Benny Hill . Mostly innuendo .
The phrase “Carry On” appears in all the series titles , e.g. “Carry on up the Khyber” in itself a pun on rhyming slang --Khyber =
Khyber Pass .
Now , what rhymes with "Pass "
Yes , you got it . Back to Hans again with one leap .

Hi Warren, Not to worry. The behaviour of some people this time of the month came up yesterday during a conversation with adaptive rowers. The one lady mentioned: “It is hard to figure out where they come from.” I asked: “Considered the lunar cycle?” “Hmmmmm, we’re that close to full moon?” “Yes, tomorrow!” “That is interesting!” "Yes, just consider the root of the word

Yes , Hans , you are quite right , my wife killed herself at the full moon . NOT a joke .

I LIKE Limey Humour.

See it on the telly all the time.
I think they call it “Parliament”.

Hi,

This is a rather strange thread. What ever happened to Piko?

From A Different Marketing Approach to Carry On with Swiss Myths.

Just asked my friend Wikepedia what he thinks about “lunatic”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunatic

Well not very much of an evidence for an influence moon/brain. And of course, just in case somebody is asking. We have electricity on this side of the pond for quite some time most of the time.

Have Fun

Juergen Zirner

“Piko”?

Probably 'cause not too many folks on this forum give a randy rat’s hindquarters about it…

Is this the right rat?

Bruce and Dave,

That is a fine looking rat, but probably too much of a distraction from the marketing theme.  Oh rats, now I get it! It’s a rat!

Zirner must be champing at the bit, eager to explain marketing in general and the intricacies of LGBoA marketing in particular, with extra special emphasis on how it relates to PIKO.

Now that will be most interesting!

“Of course Enrico Zamponelli is just one of many pseudonyms he uses ie. Fritz on MLS, Otter1 on GBF, JZ in other fora, sometimes, when it suits him, he’s “Dark Man”.
I’m sure he’ll forgive me if I haven’t mentioned one or the other of his many handles.
And of course he does have a real (as in official) name: Hans Jürgen Zirner.”

You sure there isn’t another “alias” out there he uses?

This is certainly starting to sound like some friend of Cone Head to me…

Reminds me of the Pan Am pilot at Templehof in the early 50’s…

Dave

Ahhhhhhhhh, it is all coming back to me now.

Friend of Cone Head’s? only a very distant one! Like a cousin six times removed.

Hi,

Mr. Mueller is the overseas marketing expert in this forum. Who can compete with more than 500 smart comments in this forum, plus a few thousand more in others?

Regarding the commercial decisions of some local modelling firms, I simply read the official press releases which were announced today in business circles, due within the next two weeks.

Have Fun

Juergen Zirner.

Ah, yes.

If one wants the absolute truth, believe press releases from the businesses, every time.

OK, what is the announcement?

If he were to tell you that, he would not be able to hold any power over you (in his eyes) :stuck_out_tongue:

Warren

Marvin,

What do you think? There’s a publication embargo on this morsel??

Warren,

We’ll see, don’t change the channel.

Zirner follows the well known routine: if you can’t serve up the goods, then you can always get a bit more personal. Nice start with his inaugural post!

As far as the PIKO 1:27 Taurus is concerned the exact MSRP from PIKO is 219.98 Euro; so far I haven’t heard that PIKO had the dealers sign an agreement which binds them to “no deliveries to North America”.

Yes, there was/still is?? such a binding dealer trade agreement. There are other info sources in Europe besides the press releases.

There are ways of getting items to the US that are not supposed to be sold here… There is always a work-a-round. Not evil bay, or the trip to Europe…

Oh, I’m waiting for the next installment of the…ummm…pillow fight… whenever Zirner returns.

I really think LGB, and it’s three owners…the boys and their dad…should give up visiting Colorado and making a mess of things. Instead; they should visit Scotland; buy a distillery; sink a bit of money into some fine Single Malt; wait 12 years and make a killing.
In the mean time…they should camp out in the Black Forest with several cases of Highland Park, and stop screwing up the Large Scale industry…leave the Chineese to do it on their own…with the help of a bunch of American, Lionel types…

I’m just sitting back with my own Single Malt Collection; watching the fun…!!!

I think young "Zimmer", or whatever the young fellow's name is; would approve.......I invite him to join me.
