Large Scale Central

A cure for what ails me

I took advantage of the dry forecast and run some trains. Engine #14 had to sit in for #1332. Besides engine #1332, there is also a combine in the paint shop. Fortunately the combine has none of the engines gremlins. This is the first time the Observation Car and Coach have run together.

A coupler failure soon retired the Observation Car.

#14 gets ready to leave with a load of empties heading north.

The days second coupler failure.

Underway again

A shot from the upper end of the RR.

The runs look good Ralph, but the track gremlins seem to have taken a few sections from the road.

I heard some guy named "Hollywood" stole it for his bridge :O Ralph

Bread ties, Ralph, Bread ties. The ONLY tried and true completely reliable universal LS coupler.

All of his is painted brass, I mean brass so it can’t be yours

Well look what you did now Marconi. You got the train parked. The front office ordered the rail joined. And since the engineer is also the track crew… Ralph

Glad I could be of help Ralph.

Great pictures. Glad you were able to finally run some trains. RR is looking good.

looks fine to me (for a layout not in the house ;-p ) many options, where to drive.

i don’t see any switch motors. do you switch by hand?

spontaneous uncoupling? - maybe, you shouldn’t have given away the hook-'n-loops…

So watcha building with those wheels and couplers?
I do switch by hand. All the switches are within 8’-10’ from where I control things. I removed the manual switch boxes. Don’t like the way they looked.
Didn’t have the coupler problem before I opened up the curves. Just needs a little tweaking

nothing yet. my job ends end of august. after that i should have more time at my disposal for the important things of life.

Yes,
Larger radius. I re-bent R1 sectional. So things need a little tweaking until it all settles down.

#14 once again headed the roster today. A special consist last together on the Cumberland Valley.

A stop at the goat man’s to pick up a stock car.

The engineer, in a hurry to unload those stinkin goats, run through the switches too fast :open_mouth:

Ralph, those are great shots but the only thing stinking is your engineer. Would think about sending him into permanent retirement

Then who would take the pictures ;) Ralph

Ralph, are you trying to kill the imported breeding goats?
.

The SPCA will be notified !

The goats are fine, as only the engine derailed. As soon as the locomotive is righted, the goats will resume their journey to the slaughter house
