Wasn’t this car designated as OPS good? I copy and paste: “Operations Quality”

I’m thinking a glass dome for the bar and snooty folks and we really don’t talk about those others.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-money-mouth.gif)

Yeah, that’s sort of the theory…but HOLY COW, that theory did NOT translate to reality at all.

I just got a package from the Rooster. Here you can see his version, compared to the “original”

I don’t recall the bench, so not yet sure what to do with that. But, looking at the headless chicken - I just HAVE to do something with that. (Pretty sure THAT is operations quality!) (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Oh my. Now I’m going to have to work on the coach tomorrow!

Maybe a rod off the roof of the car with the line tied around the leg(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Name the car Rooster Gulp !

Glad it arrived safely!

It’s actually a table that should fit on the walkway in the parlor section so they have somewhere to place their drinks. I almost included accessories for the Japanese Businessmen Investors but I needed to draw the line somewhere.

Everything looks kinda big to me so hoping it will fit.

Not sure how I missed the first batch of finished bar pics - Holy Cow Rooz - You have outdone yourself!!! Fantastic. Can’t wait to see it in place.

I was a bit anxious when I headed to the workshop to see how this would fit, but I need not have worried at all.

I took out one of the “riff-raff” chairs and plopped it in place.

I won’t be gluing it in place until the inner walls are assembled to the floor, but I think it looks just great!

Well done, David!

It really does look fantastic… Nice work, Son & Bruce… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I can’t wait to see this displayed on a golden plate at the D&B!

Now that I see it in place I see a lot of mistakes but I also see some things I got right. Once again this was “very difficult” to do without the car in front of me but was a great challenge and actually got me out of a long overdue funk and back into the CVRRs train shop.

“However if BD is cool with it then all is good”. I’m sorry I missed the part about “Operations Quality” but I was thinking not to block windows and slide it down the car into the parlor section a bit so BD could sit right next to the BD mix in his parlor chair.

Carry on Bruce and work your magic like you always do !!

Great bar David. It is a grand addition to Bruce’s splendid car for Bob. Always happy to see a project that goes well beyond the modeling norm.

Doc

Not bad for a bird brain … not bad my friend there Rooster…o Ya you to Bruce… (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Y’all are putting out some good work, “There’s talent in them thar web pages”

Well, when I received the package from Rooster, I got a few “extra” items.

Cool - a headless chicken (note head on side of wall) and a PICTURE of a shotgun. Rooster told me I really need a shotgun, but the best he could do was a PICTURE of a shotgun. I should cut it out (now, cut THAT out) and display it!

Ha! So, what to do?

Well, first up…a visit to Thingiverse. YAY! A shotgun was found, though it was more Barbie size (OK, maybe Ken?)

Anyway, I scaled it down and printed it…but scaling didn’t do well for the barrel. So, I got rid of where the barrel was supposed to be and substituted a couple of brass rods. Voila! Two barrelled shotgun! (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Cool. So far, so good. Now, I’ve got this headless chicken…WTF? I found one of my characters holding a loaf of bread…yeah, THAT’S REAL handy…so I cut out the bread and substituted the chicken - I THINK THIS could work! I’ll put him behind the bar, - a Chick Ken server! (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

And maybe he gets the shotgun?

Every bar needs a shotgun under the bar (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Well Doc,

It appears that the “project” is headed beyond the “modeling norm” . So with that said…“I have made the soup base”! However “What makes a great soup is what you add to it”? Perhaps others could add to this as well by just sending Bruce your addition and make him work it into the car? Don’t worry about BD as I will handle him and Bruce is retired now so he has plenty of time!

Looks like Pap ( as I call him) to me

Love it and game on !

Quite the project. Good work, Guys!

Any updates or is it done ?

Not yet done.

I’d say I’m still working on it, but it is just sitting on my workbench not doing much of anything…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)
