Wow, that looks great!
This one has a slight ‘tinge’, too.
… I notice that those guys weren’t as particular about their roofline as Bruce has been, either.

I’ve been straightening Accucraft coach roof ends in the toaster oven for years. And making styrene curved roofs. You just need a ‘form’ under it so when it droops it takes the right shape.
The one time I tried putting something styrene in the oven (low heat) with the intent to create a sag, it was a disaster. The assembled piece didn’t sag, it warped, with different components warping in different ways.
I’m trying a different switch this time…it’s a push on/push off button. A bit different than my usual toggle type switch, but not too noticeable.
And, after getting everything wired up, it was time for assembly. And a few dozen pictures.
The door on this side is held in place with a couple of magnets. I can remove the door, giving me access to the plug for charging, as well as the push button for linking.

The “radiator” area is covered with a brass screen, painted black. The speaker is just behind this.

The “front” headlight is LED. The rear was supposed to be as well, but it stopped working for some reason. Thus, an incandescent bulb was selected.
(In my mind, the rear end has the radiator. Your opinion my vary…)

Nice. And, no, you dont notice the switch…
Bruce, came out great… in my opinion…
And, yes, I see the switch…
Purty!
Now, get it outside and plow some snow…
Looks really nice Bruce !
Cool…I actually like the switch
Nice!
I would never have noticed the button if you hadn’t mentioned it.
Nicely done Bruce. And I like the magnet for the door. Did I miss the pic on that mounting ?
Awesome…
Thanks, guys. A very fun project.
Dave, you didn’t miss the picture.
I glued two pieces of tin on to the back of the door, then glued some magnets to the frame. I can unplug the cord and easily connect the charger to the battery.
Have you had a chance to weigh it. I’m curious about how much that little thang ways…
WOW. Spectacular as usual. How does it look with your old box cab? Might make an interesting double header.
Looks great Bruce!
Very nice build Bruce, enjoyed following the building process.
Chuck
Great ideas, Bruce. The switch is a very good idea, blends well.
Saweeet! Great job, Bruce. Will it be at the Drag&Brag, or can Ric use it on the Timesaver?
Wow Bruce great job. I think it looks perfect. Now lets see it running on your layout. I keep seeing all these Critters and its getting me tempted. I think if I built one I would try it using brass.
