Large Scale Central

7/8ths

Bart was kind enough to give LSC a reccomendation on the 7/8 list, and we’ve had a bunch of them wander by to look, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to say “howdy” to any of them that are reading, and to invite them to post pictures, ask questions, etc.

Yes , hello to the people who do LARGE SCALE 7/8 size . Please share some photos .

Hello Dennis, I have just joined this site after seeing some debate on the 7/8" egroup. I presume my web site will be on this message where you may see a selection of photo’s of my 18" gauge tramway. As there is very little stuff made for this scale its a case of ‘make or bash’! As my outfit is supposed to be run on the ‘cheap’ it looks rather scruffy and the loose pigs do not help either!! I was a 16mm modeller for 17 years until 2001 when I became jaded by that scale…too much available ready-made and ultra clean stock shown in the 16mm association’s magazine. 7/8" is great for modelling those little lines that nobody ever saw out in the sticks.

Hey Bill, welcome. I’ve seen your 18" stuff and its great! A great idea for a line, too.

A wonderful little railway , looks real . This scale cries out for small live steamers to me .
I always thought that I would like the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway in 7/8ths , just the Earl and Countess and some of the few pieces of rolling stock they had .

Very nice stuff, Bill! Thanks for sharing it.

Yes I’ve enjoyed Bills line for years now…not to mention the “Cadid Photos” from time to time, with appropriate backstory!!!

Hi Bob;

Thanks for getting my log on and password strightened out. Your site will go on my favorites list.

I am a BIG fan of 7/8th scale and belong to the 7-8thscaletrains group on yahoo. I am all for promoting 7/8th scale and all the smaller size scales in garden railways. Your site goes a long way in doing that. All we need to do is get more exposure at the national conventions.

Ohhh Incidentally…

More 7/8 goodness…

Glad to have you (back) on board, John!

Glad to have you (back) on board, Bart.
