Large Scale Central

7-2-17

I finally got kadee’s on my locomotives. I still have 3 or 4 more freight cars to do, but I wanted to test out the engines. So, I grabbed a few freight cars and ran the train up the grade. It held together prefectly! My chessie sd40-2 was acting up again, so in it’s place was the chessie gp40.

Nice run and video, Matt… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I still have trouble with the AML hoppers. Did you add weight to them?

What does the SD40-2 do when it acts up?

Nice video Matt. I really like the opening shot where you can see that long train snaking through the “S” curve.

Just an observation. You did such a nice job weathering your various pieces and something I noticed on the low run by shots was how shiny some of the cars were on the undersides. Have you thought to spray a flat or matte clear on those to dull them down?

Other than that you train looks very realistic.

Thanks Andy!!

Thanks Dennis! Once I get all the rolling stock converted, I’ll do a long train.

Lol @ Ken. When are you coming to Andy’s. I need help with his math.

Joe, what trouble are you having? I’ve never had any issues with them, except they are fragile. Most of mine are missing all the detail parts off of the bottoms of the cars. The Chessie SD40-2 is down on power again. The only difference this time is, the sound was messed up too. I still think the revolution controller has something wrong with it.

Thanks Todd! Which cars did I miss? I need to go back and watch the video. lol. I noticed when I was making the video that one of the Chessie hoppers, I missed one of the end caps. Ooops. I tend to get side tracked from time to time. lol!!!
