I get all kind of chokey and full up when I see a big steamer on the rails where she belongs.
Got some real throttle open on the Dance Hall Road stretch - don’t let anyone tell that a Mikado can’t pick her skirts up and run like the wind!

WOW. Two steam engines from down in Dixie today. Just finished the video of N&W 611 and now this beauty. My dad worked on this engine at the Tennessee Valley RR Museum in the late 60’s early 70’s when we lived in Chattanooga. Great to see it running again.

I shot a lot of videos and photos of the SOU 4501 last Fall. No diesel assist.
The September 4501 excursion runs to Cleveland this year will have no diesel assist.
The other 4501 excursions will have diesels.
I have it on good authority that the N&W 611 will run all excursions with no diesel assist.
