If you come to the convention, please plan to stop by our display. We’ll be the little guys right next to the Sundance Central’s new and expanded layout. I hope it doesn’t storm all weekend.

Also if your coming plan some extra time and I would be more then glade to have you stop by Railroad and run some trains. Just let me know, bring your own or feel free to run what I have.

Dear Geoff,

From your “Suburban Journal” article on your website:

“The five yards blink with close to 140,000 lights.”

So, do you need any help repairing strings of Christmas lights?

No Joe that is all taken care of already. Thanks for asking. I promiss if anyone comes over I will not put you to work on the lights. This is trains only.

If you are going to the Narrow Gauge Convention in St. Charles, MO, please stop by the layout hall and say “HI”. We will have the “Timesaver Switching Puzzle” setup with the Friends of the East Broad Top and right by “the Sundance Central”.

Convention setup starts tomorrow morning and we will be in St. Charles, Mo., Kansas City, Mo., or Colorado Springs, Co. for the next couple of weeks. First Labor Day Weekend off in, at least, 20 years. Kind of excited about the freedom and the ability to enjoy some nice weather. Time to run some trains and explore some old railroad tracks.

Ric, if you’ve got some time when you get to the Springs to drive an hour north, let me know. (I’m on the way to Caboose and the Colo. RR Museum. )

Later,

K
