I have launched a lot of model rockets down through the decades. Most landed in the forest, never to be seen again. I stopped doing it a few years ago because of the cost (those engines are not cheap!) and because the wind and dry conditions made for a fire hazard. I still keep a few on the layout, but recent changes mean I need to find a nw spot for them.
