Large Scale Central

3 Story Buildings

First, I know Dave’s are quite a lot nicer, that’s why I hesitated to show these pix. These buildings are for a temporary layout, and may get used about 3 times a year max - So I didn’t want to invest as much time and energy as he did. I used Coroplast and wood because it was here. Framework

Dorm Fridge?

Thursday’s stopping place.

As far as I got today.

I need to put more windows on the LH stairwell part, and a fire escape and window framing on the back yet, before I can paint it. I’m sorta doubting that I’ll find yellow brick colored paint tho. - especially in a rattle can.

Mik, check out the Home Depot. They have a few variations and they are satin finish.

Dave who?

If I was to worry about someone else’s work being nicer, I wouldn’t be able to show a thing I do

Allen,
I’ve struggled with this same problem. the small city I grew up in and the surrounding towns are mostly full of three story store fronts. Some pretty plainly decorated or remodelled as the years went by some pretty architecturally ornate. I like your solution even if it is only temporary.

Chas

Sorry dang double posting again!

Chas

done… and it’s STILL huge

Looks good, Mik.
You might want to try a location where it’s not so close to your smaller buildings.

I eventually want to have enough scale historic buildings for road trips that I won’t HAVE to strip the home layout for scenery anymore… I also think this one will eventually get the back wall hinged to store diecast vehicles in when it’s not in use.

I have about 5 more coroplast signs, I just need space to work and ambition.

And maybe a money tree if track goes any higher

Looks good mik. I tried to plant a dollar but it never grew. Not sure what went wrong. Money trees dont grow well here. LOL
