I took a few moment to enjoy some good weather and ran a quick train. I’m not sure how much work I’ll do to this layout. We started house hunting.
You mean yard hunting! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

hahaha! Pretty much. Gotta love my wife. Looked at a place last weekend. It had 3 acres. She starts telling the realtor we have to have a large yard for his trains. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)I just have to make sure she has a library in the house. Seems fair to me! Great video. I really enjoyed the low shots and the horn blasting as the train went through the crossing.
What will you do if the buyers of your house want the trains to stay ??

Thanks! I got a little close with the camera, but it turned out o.k.
I doubt anybody would want the railroad, but you never know I guess. I would rather it all just come with me. I’ve had thoughts of tearing it down towards the end of summer and just making raised flower beds with the retaining walls. We don’t have our house listed because we didn’t plan on really looking for a place until end of this year. It just happened a couple houses came up for sale that looked promising. So, we figured we should at least start looking now.
Why isn’t the F.R.E.D on the caboose turned on?

Takes a really good eye to see his semaphore dangling. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-yell.gif)

I never put a battery in the caboose. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)
LOL! Todd

Cockeyes…
Is that sort of like Rooster peepers?
Nice video as usual Matt . Your fleet is starting to look all worn out . Thats a good thing in my opinion. Doesn’t that caboose have a switch under it for track power?

Thanks Mike! I just don’t like everything all shiny. I like the contrast between a new car and some older ones. I still have several to weather. This video doesn’t even have all my rolling stock in it. lol.
I switched over to battery power last summer. I think it was last summer. I could be the previous summer…but anyway, The wires are still run to the track for the track power, but nothing is hooked up to them. I was going to put a battery in the caboose to power the light. I just haven’t had time to get to it.
that is going to be a bad day when you sell and pull it all up, where will I go for great videos??
Good luck on the house hunting, you should sign up for the HGTV House Hunters show, they love it when you have different tastes and wishes

Pete, I’m not selling the railroad. Just the house. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)So, the next house will have a bigger and better railroad and I plan on finishing my coal train this year.
It may be a challenge to find what we both need in a house and in the desired location. We’ll shall see. I won’t give on having a big yard though. I think we may go look at another one this week. I just don’t care for the house, but the yard is nice. The house is nice too, but I don’t want a two story house anymore. It’s yard is about the same size as the one I have now. We are in no hurry to move and are going to be very picky. So, I’ll still run trains on the layout I have and make some sort videos. I doubt I do any more major work to the layout though.
