I know I dont post like I used to in days past but today was a great day for myself and our beloved Frankenmallet, our annual Pocahontas Chapter NWHS train show (26th year) was this weekend and I was able to bring my N&W Mallet to run for a few hours on this beautifully built modular layout built by a gentleman named Ty from N. Carolina, anyways I drug the ole gal to the show in hopes of showing/running her for the local N&W historians, railfans and the general public that had never seen a locomotive this large before, Not only did the ole gal steal the show, she got the title of being the largest model of anything N&W ever ran/shown at the show during its 26 years of operation, She also made the video reel on the local news report on the show on TV, I spent the 3 hrs she ran answering questions, speaking with retired N&W/NS employees that recalled the steam program and of their golden days, the kids watching in awe and pointing the old girl out and smiling as she pulled her consist around this beautiful layout, all I can say is I am humbled by the positive responses from everyone and the attention that she received today, here are the few pics I was able to take as well as a link to the local news report that show her rounding a curve.
