…Well it WAS a ‘buy it now’ until someone bid $0.99, now it’s a straight-up auction.

Sorry guys, I was hoping someone could grab it!

That is because the “Buy it Now” option disapears when the first bid is placed. Like I said, when a “bargin” shows itself on ebay you have to act quick!

$40.00 shipping is about what it will cost to ship that big/heavy box from East to West…They are not making money unless the buyer is on the east-coast.

$250.00 + $40.00 = $290.00 for a NIB Spectrum Forney…I’d buy 'em at that price! And in fact…I did. :smiley:

A good deal gone, because someone bid 99 cents. I'd be willing to bet they bid the price up well beyond $250 ;) Ralph

I should add, mine is the S.R.R.L inside frame version, # 11…I guess this means the plans I had to build some scratch rolling stock for the L&I will need to change to an S.R.R.L. drovers caboose!

Didn’t know that about the “Buy it Now.” Sorry …

As someone who paid much more than $250 for mine, only to strip it down before it ever pulled a train … yeah, that’d be a much better price!

Well, my experience has been a little different, so go figure... at least twice, I've successfully hit on 'Buy It Now' after the auction has begun. Last time it looked as if some bidder(s) were trying to get it for a buck or two less than the asking, and there were still a couple days to go. Didn't make much sense, but there you go. I could see that both options, BID & BIN were still up there. The decision seemed obvious enough; I just took the fastest, no-nonsense choice and went BIN.

Hope the bidders were nobody here, or I’m in trouble with someone.:rolleyes:

I believe the ‘Buy it now’ stays up if the seller has more than one item for sale on the single auction.
