Just about the time you think you get the Ames Cut figured out, it throws another curve at you.

Gotta get through the icicles first.

Great report! Looks like the New Year’s Tradition is still ON schedule.

Great shots again, so when are you coming to th east coast to help me plow out LOL

Dave - You must feed and pay your crew better than mine. They gave up when it got dark and they ran into tough going. I’ve still only got about half the line open. A new crew is called for Christmas Day at 1100. It’s supposed to be above freezing so I’m hopeful they will get most of the line open the 2nd annual steam run can go later in the day and again on Friday.

Great pictures as usual.

Cool pictures. Any more snow and you might need a custom plow about twice as tall.
Ralph

Dave , if you would be a “good boy” Santa would probably deliver some of that prime snow from the Interior, nice light and fluffy stuff. It would give you a whole new appreciation for the term “snow job”.

Ah, but then I’d need a Ventilator to move it.

Great shots! Now the crews had better get some of that snow off the roofs before they cave in…

It’s a great honor to have a particular place on a railroad to be named after you.
See, Stan, Dave admires you after all.
Or, it could be some other Ames of whom we know nothing about.
Either way, enjoy that rare white stuff, Dave!
Have a good Xmas.

There you go picking on poor Stanley again! And it’s even Christmas a time of forgiving! hee hee The Regal Merry Christmas to all you train nuts like me and a Happy New Year. Hopefully next year will way way better for me than the last 7, and I didn’t even break a mirror or at least that I know Of! The Regalhttp://

Dave,

Be sure all socket connections are tight before plowing through Ames Cut!

I can’ wait for the next ops session, when I can tell someone to man the helper and shove the freight up Ames…

You COULD have named it Ames Pass so it would rhyme with the relevant word !

Just so you all know it is coming down again!! So we may get action on the CCRy again. Of course I will need to shovel out the walk for the wife in the AM
