Excellent scenery. Your pics are always the best with that backdrop.
I won’t be doing any more Spring Running as the escape to the outdoor was severed yesterday. This pic is reposted from my Farewell thread.

Thanks Cliff! Maybe someday…
Thanks Jon. Your sound system is in the second diesel. Sorry to hear about the demise of the CVSR.
Cheers,
Matt
Passenger service on the permanent tracks of the M&K Sugar Plantation and Agricultural Cooperative…
…good company PR and a bit of profit, too!
Meanwhile, MOW train passes through a tunnel.
Elsewhere, a passenger noted newly arrived “foreign cars” brought in to help meet the increasing need of the Island of No’u’ea!
That took to narrow gauge service quite well, as did similar cars that served Oahu Railway & Land Co.

I took my Goose #6 out for a track inspection with its recently rehabbed battery, and only found tw areas of concern. both on the big bridge 45A the rail has pulled apart by about 1/2 total on both rails, probably due to shifting foundations. i will piece in some nickel silver here to fill the gaps. otherwise the goose ran fine over the outdoor section of the railroad.
I figure I’d close out the spring thread with some shots from the Triple O.
Kid-zilla and I spent a couple hours yesterday and most of the day today bringing the railroad to full dress.
As I have mentioned elsewhere, this was to prepare for our annual garden party for coworkers and former teammates.
The permanent tracks of the M&K Sugar Co. were inspected…
…only to find Komaka Nui did NOT want to run today. Three-Eyes had to substitute. No pictures of that, apparently, and there are apparently no pictures of the action at Pu’u’oma’o, where the Triple O meets the M&K and mill and railroad share engine service facilities. Oh, well…
The tracks were full at the harbortown of Halukuili’o.
Loaded box cars of bagged sugar awaited transloading to visiting steamers.
Sharp-eyed viewers will note Mama’s Bakery No Ka Oi was able to have a soft reopening today after extensive refurbishment.
The military did claim priority to the main today, with Triple O crewmen and railfans capturing multiple shots of Rocky pulling the special (photos courtesy of Kid-zilla).
And, of course, before our guests arrived, we made a careful load test.
On to summer running!

Oh hell, Looks like somebody sold out! Don’t suppose that rooster at the water tower has a green foot?
Where’s Lou when ya’ need him !
Is that our long lost Rooster?
Hear is some spring colors, the maples are growing as fast as the ferns
Night OPERATIONS south of the border. Traffic has picked up since the line has been restored; both the #1529 and the #2683 are switching the town of Cananea on the SPM.
In fact, it is, and, yes @Rooster , it has a green foot! Jon ( @JRad ) discovered the errant fowl as he bid Farewell to Candlewood Excursion. He packed the bird in a biohazard bag, and sent the Roving Rooster across the ocean.
The shipping container still had your address, Lou ( @RRRR4 ), as well as Steve Featherkite’s. That was sort of fun LSC history, too.

Not a train to be seen, but evening light and spring re-birth of the foliage made for a pleasing photo of the SC&M Railroad.
I was at Worthington Vineyards in Someres, CT yesterday for a running day. Here’s a short compilation video for your enjoyment…
A quick photo of a quick test. The flatbed here is something I’ve literally cobbled together this morning (since about midnight) in an effort to start a project. This one will end up remaining a flatbed, but there will be others! I’m not going to do a build log for these, but I may post in my LHRR thread at some point.
Looks like you printed your chassis and planked it with wood? Nice!
A+, Cliff. I did, indeed! Popsicle sticks are the wood I used. I’m hoping for three of these and two started the same way with a box car-like finish.
Ran a test train around the main loop today. Visitors tomorrow morning will want to see the train.
And a few buildings…
And one more, the new girder bridge seems to have held up well over the winter.
So I said screw the world and played with trains the past two days. Decided to get out about 75% but not all of my Amtrash this time.
Didn’t put much thought into consists just slapped together one Viewliner consist and then one Superliner consist pulling private varnish. Then proceeded to watch them go ROUND and ROUND with NO OPERATIONS only photo ops.
