2025 NELSTS White Elephant Table

Do you have some S-scale or larger trains you want to sell or trade? We can help with that need at the NELSTS.

The Steam Locomotive Operation Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring a White Elephant Table at the NELSTS on May 3-4, 2025.

The Amherst Railway Society, the sponsor of the show, defines “Large Scale” as any of the following: S-scale, O-scale, G-scale, F-scale, 7.25 gauge, 7.5 gauge (1.5" to the foot) and larger. The purpose of the White Elephant Table at the show is to allow attendees to sell any “Large Scale” items they wish to sell.

The Steam Locomotive Operations Group, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), established to issue grants to organizations, which provide “Hands-on-the-Throttle” training to volunteer/apprentice engineers and firemen.

White Elephant Fees

Sellers will be asked to donate $1 for each 5 items they wish to sell to help cover our costs. On completion of sale(s) the seller will donate 10% of the sale as a commission to the Steam Locomotive Operations Group, Inc.

If the seller desires in advance to accept credit cards for their sales and a credit card is used, an additional 2% of the sale will be charged to cover credit card processing fees.

Since this is classified as a “casual sale” by a non-profit organization, no sales tax will charged or collected for sales at the show’s White Elephant tables.

Thanks

Stan

Thanks Stan. Is it possible to get the little forms in advance? It would be nice to fill them in before the show.

Cliff

We got the supplies yesterday so should be no problem mailing some out before the show. Pease message me with the number you need and your address.

Stan

Thanks for sharing this info, @Stan_Ames . Hopefully I’ll be able to get over to these tables. See you in two weeks!

The third year of the NELSTS is now here and it has grown substantially each year. Both the Raffle and White Elephant table are now setup and sales start first thing in the morning. We added 4 more tables this year is all but one are already full. Me may have to add more tables in the morning.

The Raffle is fantanstic this year. If you can not attend the show find a friend who can purchase tickets for you. A listing of items together with the winers as winers are selected are posted at
https://www.steamtrainops.org/NELSTS-RAFFLE/
