2025 MIK's Build Challenge

I am feeling that way too and it’s my first MIK. I have the silo done and waiting for awning material for the mercantile and that will be done. Don’t want to start a build until I have the MIK done.

You know if you build models outside of once a year, it’s not that bad. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

As I quickly duck down and hide away from this years challenge.

OK,

The brainstorming list is in…

…and the familial factions have solidified. It remains to be seen if CINCHOUSE will participate or serve as referee!

As a teacher I see a few different people’s handwriting on that list…

A young male, a teenage girl, a teenage boy, a Dad and possibly a Mom’s handwriting. In no particular order but if you want I can guess the order.

Go for it! Beverage on me if you can pull it off…and get out here to claim the prize! :palm_tree:  :palm_tree:

I know I still have a day to ruminate but dropped by a friend to see his bicycle wheel project in HO.

There are so many amazing things happening in HO

I dropped by a friend to see his bicycle project in HO.

This would be quite fun for a Mik, but the magnets alone would blow my budget. Well, back to the drawing board, maybe something more static.

remarkable!
this biker did each round just as the others. :innocent:

Pre teen to Teenage boy?
Young boy less than 7?
Mom? Or daughter

Oldest son?

I forgot how many kids and rough ages they are but seeing my 5, 9 and 10 boys handwriting all the time plus 14-17 girls and boys at school. Not too many kids these days write in cursive or even half cursive half print so those ones seem to be Mom’s… Girls tend to have nicer hand writing than boys. None of them are bad, I can read very word instead of having to guess 3/4 of the scribbles.

I could be completely wrong, but it was fun to guess. :joy:

Craig,

That was really good! The first four were right on. Oldest Son is 12; Kid-zilla is 8. After that, all the script is mine. CINCHOUSE dictated, so maybe that led to a more feminine expression of my penmanship!

OK, it is getting serious. With multiple projects in the works, the Triple O negotiated with the relevant unions to bring in non-railroad labor.

The 1:24 scale “diggermen” have made their annual migration to the lanai, and are ready lend-to!

With help like this, what could go wrong?

Steam punk Locomotive?

Blame anime for that one!

Oh…Of Course… I’m in… Not sure what I will build, and or where it will be built…

Just might have to use the Washing machine…Ala Mik…

This year’s Challenge was decided two years ago… and even now I have no idea what to build…

I feel you pain Dave. With today as the deadline to declare, I’m still lost!

OK I’m in. I need to build something to give away at NELSTS this year.

With our Santa Ana winds, I should put a set of trucks on a sailboat and let it go crazy! Wouldn’t even need to raise the sails!

TODD… Having grown up inland in Ontario/Upland I’m quite aware of the Santa Anna winds… As a wee lad I tried to fly a kite in one… Crumpled it up into a ball… I was so disappointed…

Five hours and I can start. Set the alarm for 12:01. Lol not really but I am looking forward to the starting gun.

One hour 40 minutes here on the east coast…
